FDT formatter is very good, far better than what someone would get with the default install of Flash Builder. But add the Flex Formatter plugin (http://sourceforge.net/projects/flexformatter/) to Flash Builder and it blows FDT formatting away. You get a lot more options for control, the ability to auto-format or auto-indent on save, and the ability to import/export your formatting settings to share with your team.

Not sure what the Flex Formatter plugin does but I'd like to see comment formatting and line-wrapiping in FDT just like the JDT formatter does.

MXML formatter will be part of the final version of FDT 4.
In FDT 4 M4 we've also added a new AS3 Formatter.

After the release of FDT 4 final, please add more specific improvement requests for features and options you would like to see in the AS3 or MXML formatter.

I agree, the flexformatter plugin is not only better at formatting than FDT, but allows you to export your configuration to be used throughout the team.
