Yes, it does, and I see now that FDT is a bit smarter about which way it defaults to. I do still like the way Flash Builder does it better though, when you auto complete an mxml tag in flash builder, it doesn't close it for you, and then if you close it with a > instead of /> it adds the close tag. In Flash Builder you can also type </[ctrl+space] and it suggests which unclosed tags you wish to close.

Nice idea btw. The MXML ticket I had before doesn't make sense - this ticket being tagged as MXML will work fine.
