"The 'Change SDK' option is made obsolete by the 'Change Project Type' option.
See attached video.
Since the functionality (and UI) of 'Change SDK' is contained within Change Project Type, there is no need for the former.
Another concern is how there are circumstances where using 'Change SDK' will break a customer's project; whereas, the same operation does not break a customer's project when using 'Change Project Type'. This is because when a different project type is required (e.g. changing from Flex 4.6 -> Flex 3.6) FDT now recognizes that the classpath needs to be restructured to a Flex 3 project type.
Summary Of Changes
- Remove the 'Change SDK' option when right clicking on the Project Folder via FDT explorer.
- Replace 'Change Project Type' with 'Change Project's Type or SDK'
- Replace 'Change SDK' option when right clicking on the project's SDK icon with the 'Change Project's Type or SDK' option."
